The Ft. Pierce, FL NWR transmitter power has been upgraded from 100 W to 300 W. This is part of an initiative to replace all of the original transmitters over the next two years; as part of the upgrade, all 100 W (or less) transmitters will be increased to either 300 W or 1000 W.
(Note: The webmaster assumes that this upgrade does not apply to the 5 W U.S. Coast Guard high-site NWR transmitters in Alaska.)
