New station in the Nebraska Sandhills

A new station is on the air in west-central Nebraska. KPS502 broadcasts from northeast of Mullen, NE at 1000 watts on 162.425 MHz. Programming originates from the NWS North Platte office.

New station in Idaho

Weather radio finally comes to the Salmon, ID area! A new transmitter is broadcasting from Mt. Baldy on 162.500 MHz.
Programming on KPS509 originates from the NWS office in Missoula, MT.

Two new planned stations and an upgrade

New transmitters in Crystal Falls, MI and Marenisco, MI are expected between now and late spring, according to the NWS Marquette newsletter. The Crystal Falls transmitter is expected online sometime this winter, and Marenisco by the end of spring 2008.

In addition, the Glendive, MT transmitter will be upgraded from 100 W to 300 W, adding coverage to Wibaux.
